Contest Rules

These terms and conditions (the "Rules") govern the Colorful Commotion Contest (the "Contest"), organized by PLR Sales Limited ("Playrix").

By participating in the Contest, each participant ("Artist") acknowledges and agrees to comply with these Rules and that any failure to do so may result in disqualification.

Eligibility

  1. The Contest is open to Artists worldwide, aged 18 years or older, subject to applicable legal and financial restrictions.
  2. By participating, the Artist represents and warrants that the Artist is a sole creator of the submitted artwork (the “Work”) and a holder of all the rights necessary to submit the Work to the Contest, and that the Work does not infringe the intellectual property rights or other legal rights of any third party.

Requirements

  1. Each Artist can submit only one original piece of artwork for consideration.
  2. Artwork Requirements:
    1. The concept must be in color with a clear color palette and an overall tonal layout.
    2. No rendering, shadows, or highlights are required; focus on solid color fills to convey mood and atmosphere.
    3. The main objects must be clear in terms of their angle and geometry.
    4. The artwork can be created using 2D, 3D, or AI tools, but the style must align with Gardenscapes, Fishdom, Homescapes, or Township.
    5. Include a brief description (3-4 sentences) explaining the creative process behind the Work.
    6. The artwork must align with the family-friendly nature of Playrix's games.
  3. The Work must not represent or contain any offensive or inappropriate content, including but not limited to depictions of violence, hatred, discrimination, sexual content, or nudity. It must not violate any applicable laws, promote illegal activity, or include content that is defamatory, libelous, threatening, profane, discriminatory, or unlawful in any way. The Work must not promote harm or hatred toward any group or individual, nor conflict with the theme and spirit of the Contest.
  4. The Work must not violate any rights of third parties, including but not limited to intellectual property rights such as trademarks, copyrighted materials, or logos owned by others; images, likenesses, or personal data of individuals; patents, trade secrets, or proprietary processes belonging to third parties; or any other legal rights, including privacy rights, moral rights, or rights of publicity.
  5. All submissions must be uploaded to Google Drive with access via a shareable link, and the link should be sent by email to the contest's official email address by 09.12.2024.
  6. By submitting the Work, the Artist agrees to indemnify and hold Playrix harmless from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from any breach of third-party rights, or the inclusion of inappropriate, unlawful, or offensive content in the Work.
  7. Playrix reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any submission that fails to meet the requirements outlined in these Rules.

Judging Process and Criteria

  1. The Work will be judged by a panel selected by Playrix, based on the following criteria:
    1. Composition
    2. Aligning with the specified theme of the contest
    3. Subject relevance to one of Playrix's games
    4. Adherence to the submission guidelines
    5. Technical execution
  2. The decision of the judging panel is final and binding, and no appeals or challenges will be entertained.
  3. The winner will be notified via the contact details provided in their submission.

Prizes

  1. A single winner will be awarded a prize of €1,000 (one thousand euro), which will be paid directly to the winner's designated bank account.
  2. Playrix shall have no responsibility for any transaction fees, taxes, or other charges incurred in connection with the payment of the prize. The winner is solely responsible for complying with any and all applicable local tax laws, including the obligation to report the prize and remit any taxes, fees, or other payments that may be required by the relevant tax authorities.
  3. Payment of the prize is subject to financial, technical, and legal restrictions. The prize can only be awarded after the winner successfully completes a Know Your Customer (KYC) process, as required by applicable laws and regulations. Playrix is unable to process payments in any way that would violate international sanctions, financial regulations, or other legal requirements. Furthermore, payments cannot be made to individuals or entities residing in Russia and Belarus. In cases where these restrictions apply, Playrix reserves the right to withhold or cancel the prize.

Publication and Use of Works

  1. While the Artist retains full ownership of their Work, by submitting the Work, the Artist grants Playrix a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to publish the Work on Playrix's website and social media channels for purposes related to the Contest, including the publication of the Work for the announcement of the Contest results.
  2. The Artist's name along with the Work of the winning Artist will be published when the Contest results are announced.

Privacy

  1. By participating in the Contest, the Artist consents to the collection, storage, and use of their personal data (such as name, surname, contact information, email, social networks, country of residence) by Playrix for the purpose of administering and promoting the Contest and future recruitment opportunities.   2. By participating in the Contest, the Artist also consents to the use of the website cookies in accordance with our cookie policy. For more information on how we use cookies and how you can manage your preferences, please refer to our Cookie Notice.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

  1. The Artist agrees to comply with these Rules and agrees to indemnify and hold Playrix harmless from any claims by third parties arising from any breach of these Rules by the Artist. Playrix shall not be liable for any third-party claims related to unauthorized use of the Work. Additionally, Playrix will not be liable or responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, losses, liabilities, injury, disappointment, or any other harm incurred by the Artist as a result of entering the Contest, accepting any prize, or any authorized publication or use of the submitted Work by Playrix.
  2. Playrix has no responsibility for any technical issues, including but not limited to internet connectivity problems, technical failures of any kind, or errors during submission that prevent an Artist from successfully submitting their Work.
  3. Playrix is not liable for incomplete, inaccurate, lost, or misdirected submissions, including those caused by technical issues or human error.
  4. Playrix is not responsible for any failure to receive payment due to issues with the winner's bank or any intermediary financial institution.
  5. Playrix shall not be liable for any failure to meet its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, strikes, civil unrest, or government regulations.
  6. Playrix reserves the right to disqualify any Artist who violates these Rules or engages in any conduct deemed inappropriate, illegal, or unethical in relation to the Contest.

Miscellaneous

  1. Playrix reserves the right to modify or cancel the Contest, including these Rules, at any time. Any such modifications will be communicated to the Artists via the Contest website.
  2. Playrix reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Contest and these Rules at any time, with or without notice, in the event of suspected or actual fraud, technical issues, or other factors beyond its reasonable control. Playrix's decisions regarding all matters related to the Contest are final and binding.
  3. By participating in the Contest, the Artist acknowledges and agrees to comply with these Rules and that any failure to do so may result in disqualification.
  4. These Rules are governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland, and any disputes arising from the Contest shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Ireland.
